Commissioned by Heidi Munsey, head of the Addictions Counseling program at Joliet Junior College, I was asked to design campaign materials for the college’s upcoming Alcohol Awareness Fair on April 16, 2025. The goal was to visually communicate the importance of awareness using ribbon imagery and the color red—symbols commonly associated with the cause.
To maintain a strong connection to JJC’s identity, I incorporated colors from the college’s official palette. A deep red was used prominently, blending into JJC’s signature purple to create a cohesive gradient throughout the design. The ribbon motif was carefully placed to guide the viewer’s eye from the title to key event information, creating both structure and visual movement. The final materials aim to meet both the client’s vision and the needs of the audience—delivering a message of awareness through a thoughtful and effective design approach.
